Why ABS, and where PC and steel come in

ABS gives a shower head what it needs: it survives drops, holds its shape in hot water, molds crisp details, and takes chrome plating. That is why it is the body material for nearly every hand shower on the market, including all of ZHONGHE's. Where a part must be see-through, such as a filter handle, the factory molds it in PC, which is clearer and tougher than acrylic. Where a metal spray face is wanted, selected models carry a 304 stainless steel plate.

Brass is used for hose nuts and selected fittings rather than for bodies; an all-brass hand shower would be heavy, expensive and unnecessary for the duty.

Molding and finishing at the factory

Bodies are molded on the factory's 15 injection machines and checked for the classic molding defects: flash, sink marks and weld lines. Finish follows the range plan: plating for chrome, masterbatch for white and colors, painting for special tones. Assembly on 4 production lines is followed by a water test of about 10-15 seconds on every unit, with 0.5MPa leakage checks in selected processes and salt spray testing available on selected plated parts.

Specifying materials in an RFQ

State any material requirement from your market (for example wetted-material standards such as NSF/ANSI 61 or 372 for North America), the finish, whether transparent PC parts are needed, and whether a stainless face plate is wanted. The factory confirms what applies to each model and which reports can be supplied or arranged. Existing molds skip the roughly 60 days of tooling a new design needs.
