Two ways to make a shower head black

The simplest black is molded in: black masterbatch in the ABS gives a matte dark body straight from the mold, as on ZH2378, with no finish step to chip. Specific tones such as gunmetal or a satin black are achieved by spray painting a molded body, which adds a process step and cost but gives the metallic depth seen on ZH2257 and ZH2256-2. Chrome bands and bezels are plated separately and assembled, which is why a dark head can carry bright accents.

White face plates and white stop buttons on dark bodies are a deliberate contrast: they read clearly in photos and make the spray face easy to keep clean.

Building a dark range from the catalog

ZH2378 gives an all-black multifunctional head with white nozzle tips. ZH2257 and ZH2256-2 give gunmetal bodies with chrome bands, white micro-mesh faces and stop buttons. Add ZHSH0010, the black hose with a chrome spiral stripe, and a chrome or brushed-silver holder such as ZHFS7721 with its black ring cup, and the set is complete. Dark variants of other multifunctional molds are a masterbatch or paint change rather than a tooling change.

Ordering matte black shower heads

State whether molded-in black or a painted tone is wanted (supply a reference or Pantone), the accent finish, matching hose and holder, the logo method (laser or pad printing shows well on dark bodies), the thread standard and packaging. Existing molds ship after about 30 days of production as a guide.
