The first is a filter shower head, where the cartridge sits in a transparent handle: ZHONGHE lists 28 of these, and the media is visible through the plastic, which is why they photograph well for retail. The second is an inline filter, a short housing threaded at both ends that goes between the arm or hose and whatever head the customer already owns. The catalog's PP Filter is described exactly that way, with a male thread at one end and a larger female nut at the other.

The inline route is what buyers search for when they want to keep an existing shower. It also stacks: the PP Filter-2 photo shows a PP cotton cartridge inside a transparent handle with a second inline housing screwed to the handle base and a chrome nut joining it to a metal hose. Inline housings are orderable on their own; state the thread sizes your market uses and the factory confirms the pairing before the listing is built.

What a multi-stage cartridge actually contains

The phrase 15 stage is a count of media layers inside one cartridge, not a count of housings. The Mineral Stone Beads Filter-2 in the catalog is a clear tube divided into three visible bead sections, dark grey, white and orange-brown, which a marketing sheet could describe as three stages. Add a PP cotton layer, an activated carbon layer, and separate bead types, and the number climbs without the water passing through anything new.

The specification that is worth writing down instead is the media and the tested parameter. The activated carbon fiber ZHONGHE uses has SGS test data against free chlorine in the media supplier's reports: 99.5% removal at the start of flow under GB/T 5750.11-2023, with separate third-party tests showing over 96.8% initially and 90.6% after 5 tons; these are tests of the media, not of a finished shower head. The media supplier's SGS reports also cover a 16-item hygiene test and RoHS screening for the calcium sulfite balls; separately, the balls work in both hot and cold water, which matters because shower water is hot. Nothing in the catalog is tested for or claimed against heavy metals, bacteria or skin benefits.

Refill logic and how to specify a filter program

A filter product is two SKUs from the start: the unit and the refill. For cartridge-only orders, testing follows your requirements, for example a chlorine-reduction target; items and conditions are agreed per project, and a target is your requirement, not a guaranteed result. Decide the refill interval you will print, decide whether the refill is a bare cartridge or a retail multipack, and match the packaging to a shelf. Because performance falls with use, an honest interval is stated in tons of water or months at a stated household, not as a fixed promise, and the ACF figures above show why: the same media measured 99.5% at the start and 90.6% after 5 tons in the media supplier's tests.

For an RFQ, state the media you want, whether the format is an inline housing or a cartridge for a filter handle, the thread standard for the destination market, the refill pack format, and the quantity. MOQ normally ranges from 500 to 2,000 units.
