G1/2: what the thread is and how it seals
G1/2 is a parallel, straight thread from the BSPP family defined in ISO 228, with a head-side outside diameter of about 27 mm. It is the de facto global connection for hand showers and their hoses. Because it is parallel, it does not seal on the threads: the conical nut seats into the shower head inlet, and the hex nut compresses a rubber washer against the mixer outlet. That is why the joint can be assembled by hand without sealant and why the washer, not torque, does the work.
North American plumbing uses 1/2 inch NPT, a tapered thread that seals by interference with tape or sealant. The two are not interchangeable. ZHONGHE hoses are G1/2 by default, and buyers serving the US and Canada state which end needs NPT compatibility so the fitting or adapter is specified before samples.

Specifying a shower hose
State the construction, the length, both nut types, the washer material, any inserted parts (filter washer, check valve), the thread for each end and the destination market, the finish to match the head, and the packaging (bagged, boxed with a head, or bulk). A hose that arrives with the wrong nut for the destination fixture is a returns problem no packaging fixes, so the RFQ should be explicit.
