Bluetooth Speaker Shower Heads: Modules, Compliance, and Supply

How the module sits in the product

A speaker shower head is two products in one carton: a shower head, which is a molded and water-tested plumbing part, and a small consumer electronics module, which is a battery, a driver, a radio and a charging port. The usual arrangement puts the module in a recess in the head or the top of the handle, held by a twist lock or a magnet, so the user pulls it out to charge it and drops it back in to shower. A sealed, non-removable module is possible but it makes charging awkward and it makes a warranty return a whole-product return.

That split also decides where the risk sits. The plumbing half behaves like any other head and is water tested on the line. The electronics half is where the failures come from: a charging port that corrodes, a battery that loses capacity, a pairing that drops. Buyers should ask for the module supplier's own test data as part of the sample pack rather than treating it as part of the shower head.

The compliance step that catches importers out

Adding a radio changes the file an importer has to hold. In the EU, a Bluetooth product falls under the radio equipment rules and the CE marking has to be supported by radio, EMC and safety assessment; in the United States, an intentional radiator needs FCC authorisation and the FCC identifier has to appear on the product or its packaging. Neither is a formality that can be added after the artwork is printed, because the identifier and the marking take space on the label.

The battery adds a second track. A lithium cell needs UN38.3 test documentation to travel, and the carrier, the freight mode and the packing marks all follow from it. Raise the destination market, the transport mode and the required marks in the RFQ before sampling, because the answers can change which module is used and therefore which body it fits.

Specifying a speaker shower head program

State the head format (handheld or fixed), the finish, the module position, whether the module must be detachable, the IP rating the listing will claim, the battery capacity and play time you need, the charging connector, the destination markets and the marks required, the packaging format and the quantity. Say early which of those numbers will be printed on the box, because those are the ones that have to be measured rather than quoted.

Speaker heads are not among ZHONGHE's 115 own molds. They are produced with ZHONGHE's partner factories in the Ningbo cluster and inspected, water tested and packed under ZHONGHE's project management, so the buyer runs one specification, one sample round and one inspection against the whole pack. A body shape that does not exist in the partner network is still an ODM project on ZHONGHE tooling, with about 15 days of appearance design, 15 days of structure design and 60 days of mold making as guides.
