Modes are zones, not technologies
A five-function head does not contain five inventions. Its face plate is split into zones of nozzles, and the selector valve decides which zone receives water. Rain uses the wide outer ring of soft rubber nozzles, massage uses a ring of larger openings that pulse, mist uses fine central holes, jet concentrates a few openings, and a combination setting opens two zones together. A pause position closes all zones to a trickle for soaping.
The selector is the part buyers photograph and users touch. ZHONGHE's catalog shows rotating rings around the face (ZH2019AC, ZH2117C), small lever tabs at the bottom of the head (ZH2019BC, ZH2020C), and push buttons on the side or on the handle band (ZH2256C, ZH2257, ZH2265C).
Why fewer modes can be the better product
Every extra mode adds an internal chamber, an O-ring and a seal face, which means more parts to assemble and one more place to leak. For a value retail range, a well-made three-function head with a stop button often outperforms a five-function head on returns. For a premium line, five modes with a combination setting are the expected specification. The factory designs the water path, switching mechanism, seal layout and residual-water drainage in-house, so a buyer can specify the mode count and switching style rather than accept a fixed module.
Every finished unit is water tested for about 10-15 seconds with the modes exercised, and selected processes add a 0.5MPa leakage check.
Specifying a multi-function shower head
State the number of modes, the switching style, whether a pause or stop function is needed, the finish, the target flow at a stated pressure, the thread standard and the packaging. Existing molds ship after about 30 days of production as a guide; a new selector mechanism follows the ODM route with about 15 days of structure design and 60 days of mold making.
