Why the refill is the real product

A filter shower head sells once; its cartridge sells for years. Brands that plan the refill SKU at launch, with its own barcode, pack count and shelf position, build a repeat-purchase line rather than a one-off accessory. ZHONGHE lists its cartridges as standalone catalog items so refills can be ordered independently of the shower heads they fit.

The four cartridge types map to the four media in the factory's filter range. Activated carbon fiber carries the media supplier's SGS chlorine data (99.5% free-chlorine removal at the start of flow). PP cotton traps rust and sand. Mineral bead cartridges hold calcium sulfite balls (16-item hygiene test and RoHS screening in the supplier's SGS reports) and white metasilicate granules (hygiene soak test with all 19 listed items conforming, REACH SVHC and EU RoHS in the supplier's SGS reports); like the ACF figure, these are tests of the media, not of a finished cartridge. The magnet cartridge is a conditioning accessory.

Fit, sizing, and private label packs

Cartridges are dimensioned to the chamber of a specific handle family, so a refill program starts from the shower head model number. When a buyer's existing shower head comes from another supplier, sending a photo and the cartridge dimensions lets the factory check whether an existing cartridge fits or whether a dedicated housing is needed.

Refills are packed in single or multi-packs. Retail color boxes suit shelf sales, brown boxes and polybags suit marketplace subscriptions, and bulk cartons suit importers who repack. Custom packaging is discussable from 2,000 units.

Developing a replacement cartridge to fit your housing

Brands that already sell a filter shower head or a filter housing often need a replacement cartridge made for it. ZHONGHE starts from a sample: send the housing or the cartridge it takes, and the factory reads the dimensions, the connection and the seal, then confirms whether a new mold is needed before anything is quoted. A new mold is quoted together with the mold, and a new filter configuration starts from about 2,000 units.

The cartridge media come from the media supplier and are chosen from the filter media list. Replacement cartridges can also be supplied on their own, without a shower head order, as single cartridges or refill packs such as 2-packs and 3-packs, so a brand can keep refills in stock long after the heads have sold.

Ordering cartridges with or without shower heads

State the shower head model or cartridge dimensions, the media, the pack count, the packaging format and the quantity. Cartridges can be added to a shower head order or shipped alone as a refill replenishment. For cartridge-only orders, testing follows your requirements, for example a chlorine-reduction target; items and conditions are agreed per project. A target set by the buyer is the buyer's requirement for the test, not a performance figure from ZHONGHE, and a pass is not guaranteed. Every shower head unit is water tested before packing; cartridges are checked for fill, seal and housing condition during packing.
