Three levels of private label
The simplest private label is an existing model with your logo and packaging: the mold, structure and testing are proven, so the project moves from RFQ to production in weeks. The second level changes what the buyer sees without changing tooling: handle tint, body color, cartridge media, face plate color, button color. The third level is an own design through ODM, where the factory handles appearance design (about 15 days), internal structure (about 15 days), 3D samples, mold making (about 60 days) and production (about 30 days), all as working guides.
Most brands start at level one or two and reserve a new mold for a flagship once the range has sold.
Where the brand goes
On the product, a logo is pad- or silk-printed on ABS bodies, laser-marked on chrome, or molded into the tool on new designs. On the packaging, the color box, insert card and refill pack carry the full brand system. Refill cartridges are labeled under the same brand so the repeat purchase stays with the brand rather than with the factory.
What the factory does and does not do
ZHONGHE manufactures, tests and packs. It shares the media test reports (ACF chlorine data from SGS, calcium sulfite hygiene and RoHS results, metasilicate REACH SVHC check) for the brand's own listings and compliance files, arranges third-party testing per project, and keeps the brand's program confidential. It does not publish customer names and does not support health or cosmetic claims. Buyers remain responsible for conformity in their market.
