Fitment: where NPT shows up

Almost every hand shower in the world, including ZHONGHE's, connects to its hose with a G1/2 parallel thread. North American shower arms, however, carry 1/2 inch NPT tapered thread, which seals by interference with tape or sealant. The two are not interchangeable and will start to engage misleadingly. The conversion point is the supply end of the hose or an adapter at the arm; for fixed heads it is the ball-joint inlet. State the destination in the RFQ and the factory specifies the correct fitting for each connection before samples.

Flow: the number that governs the listing

The US federal maximum is 2.5 gpm per shower head. The voluntary WaterSense label applies at 2.0 gpm or less, with 1.8 gpm in the revised specification. Because flow depends on pressure, the factory tests selected specifications at 0.3MPa and asks the buyer to state the target flow and the pressure it must be met at; micro-nozzle heads and restrictor options are then specified and samples verified. Certification under WaterSense is arranged per project, not claimed in advance.

Materials, labels, and paperwork

US and Canadian plumbing approvals reference NSF/ANSI 61 for wetted materials and NSF/ANSI 372 for lead content. A plain mechanical ABS shower head with no electrical function and no health claim is ordinary goods at customs, but a retailer or plumbing distributor may still require the reports; ZHONGHE supplies component test reports and arranges third-party testing per project. California's Proposition 65 is a warning obligation on the importer. Final conformity sits with the importer, and the factory prepares the documents around that.
