The identifiers, and how to check them

The Unified Social Credit Code is the registration number every company in China carries. It is printed on the business license, and it is the one identifier that ties a website, a quotation and an export document to the same legal entity. ZHONGHE's code is 91330282726386942E. Ask for a copy of the business license, check that the code and the legal name match, and then check that the same legal name appears on the proforma invoice, the sales contract and the shipping documents.

On a video call, ask to see the gate, the molding shop and the assembly lines in one continuous walk rather than a set of clips, and ask the person on camera to say the date.

What the factory shares before an order

A copy of the business license with the legal name and the registration code; factory photos and video of molding, assembly, water testing and packing; the model list with the 96 catalog codes; a sample of the model under discussion; a quotation issued in the legal name, with the port of loading and the Incoterms; packing details with carton dimensions and weights; and the test description for the product, meaning what is tested on every unit and what is tested by sampling.

What is not shared: other buyers' designs, artwork, prices or programs. A supplier that hands over another customer's file to win your order will hand over yours to win the next one.

Ways to verify without traveling

A live video walkthrough is the fastest check. Ask to see the molding machines running, parts moving to a line, the water test in use, and the rework area. Ask the questions while the camera is moving rather than sending them in advance.

A sample is the second check. Order the exact model and finish you plan to buy, and test it the way the guide linked below describes: hold pressure, measure flow at a stated pressure, cycle the modes, check the thread and the finish. A sample that arrives with no model code and no packaging is a warning on its own.

Third-party audit and inspection

Third-party inspection agencies are welcome at pre-shipment, and a wider factory audit in the style of the international agencies can be arranged for a project. Tell the factory which agency, which audit protocol and which dates, so the visit can be scheduled against a real production day rather than an empty one.

If a supplier's website claims a certificate without a number, a scope and an issuing body, treat the claim as unverified until you see the document.
